Current 8th Grade students should register to take the Test for Admissions into Catholic High School (TACHS). Make sure you list St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School (code 698) as one of your choices.
Eighth grade students currently enrolled in a Catholic Elementary School will have their 6th, 7th, and 8th grade report cards sent to St. John’s on your behalf via the TACHS portal.
Eighth grade students not enrolled in a Catholic Elementary School will need to print out the Applicant Record sheet from the TACHS website located on the left-hand side of the menu options. Please have your current school complete the form and mail it to St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School, Attn: Admissions at 1170 Montauk Highway, West Islip, NY, 11795. This form is due to St. John the Baptist by December 15th.
Students that took the TACHS exam with testing accommodations and currently have an IESP/IEP, or 504 Accommodations need to email the current document to St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School. All documents should be sent to Admissions@sjbdhs.org. IESP/IEP or 504 Accommodation documents are due to St. John the Baptist by December 15th. Please include the student’s full name in the subject line of the email.
