Our Student Activity program offers a variety of clubs and organizations for young people to join. Over 70% of the student population is involved in some club or organization – not including athletic teams. Through their participation, young people learn more about themselves and topics and interests that are appealing to them. They might even discover things about themselves they never knew before!
Our student activities are not “extra-curricular” but “co-curricular”. By joining a club, students are given a chance to build upon the knowledge learned during the school day and encouraged to apply that knowledge to the school, local and global communities. In addition, young people work with other students and faculty and staff members. That interaction is invaluable!
With a strong academic and spiritual foundation provided for you, you’ll find there’s even more for you to be part of at St. John’s. Our varied student activities and strong athletic program are in place to allow students to grow into even more, mature responsible young people in the real world.
The “life” of St. John’s does not end at the last bell. Rather, life at St. John’s continues on after school, on weekends and throughout the year. We often tell students they are SJB students “24/7”. Through service opportunities, sports teams, clubs, competitions, dances, social events, prayer opportunities and more, students here are given tremendous opportunities to get involved in all that SJB has to offer.
Getting involved in all that goes on at SJB – outside of the academic arena – gives young people the chance to learn more about themselves and one another and is an important factor in the total development of the individual.
