Monday, December 9 - Day 3

1. Writing Center will meet today only. Please see us next week for all your writing needs. 
2. This is a reminder that the final payment for The Outsiders trip is due. Payments MUST be submitted by this Friday, December 13. Please see Miss Free if you have any questions. 
3. Arts and Crafts Club is moving to Thursdays from 3-4. We will meet this Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Test Center. 
4. The SJB Chapter of SADD will be holding its Christmas meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, 12/10. Come to The Chapel at 2:40 followed by our meeting at 3:00 in room 221. 
5. There is still time to sign up for the Senior Disney Trip. Last day to sign up is December 18th. See Ms. Kelly for details.

Friday, December 6 - Day 2

1. Writing Center will only be open on Monday next week 
2. Join Campus Ministry in laying remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen soldiers with the organization, Wreaths Across America at Long Island National Cemetery on Saturday, December 14th. Christian witness hours will be given to participants. If you are interested, sign up via the Google Form in your Religion Google classroom.

Thursday, December 5 - Day 1

1. There will be a mandatory meeting for Senior Student Council today, Thursday after school. Please meet in the chapel at 2:45 PM. 
2. Mock Trial will meet tomorrow, Thursday, December 5 at 3 pm in room 331. We will have the new case for this year's competitions! All are welcome! 
3. Please RSVP on the Google Form for our Christmas Event. The movie is Home Alone at 3:30 on Thursday December 12th. Popcorn and drinks will be provided, and pizza will be available for purchase. Our annual tree lighting with cookies, hot chocolate and Santa after the movie! 
4. Sign up for the Gingerbread contest is in the main office. Entry fee is $10 and the winner will get an Amazon gift card. Please bring your own decorating supplies. 
5. Attention Mathletes and anyone interested in joining…we will have our next competition after school next Tuesday in room 306. Please check the google classroom for more information.

Wednesday, December 4 - Day 6

1. Baking Club will have its last fall session bake tomorrow, December 5th. Bakers should check the google classroom for details and bring their storage containers.

3. The RAK club invites you to join in our Kindness campaign, today Wednesday from 3-4 PM in the Lace Lecture Hall. We ask you to help in writing Christmas cards for residents in local nursing homes and those who frequent local senior centers. Bring your best pen, your best handwriting skills and some new holiday cards. Student participants will receive an hour of service credit for participating in this event. The RAK Club will deliver your holiday greetings to those who are alone or in special care at Christmas time. 
4. Come make decorations and ornaments for the Catholic Charities Christmas Party today from 3-5 in the Test Center with the Arts and Crafts Club! This will count for service hours.

3. The food drive starts today Monday November 25th and Tuesday November 26th. You are asked to bring your donations to school and drop them off them in the bins that will be in the back lobby. Please be sure all items are non-perishable. All food collected will be donated to the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Parish in Wyandanch.

4. Student Council is collecting ornaments for the Class Christmas Trees. We are asking for new or gently used Christmas ornaments. Each grade level has a color scheme ...

This serves as your dress down pass for the day and allows you to come directly to the Cafeteria A period for a Bagel Breakfast. The pass also notes your donation time - report to the gym promptly at that time to donate. SJB Rules apply to this dress down day. Remember: make sure you are well-hydrated tonight and eat a big dinner. Have breakfast before you come to school tomorrow, Thursday The more you eat and drink the better you’ll feel. Thank you so much!

1. Attention all students, faculty, and staff!! There is still one more week in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! If you want to honor someone that you know who has had or is currently fighting breast cancer, please stop by the health office to write their name on a paper pink ribbon. All pink ribbons will be displayed on the health office bulletin board in the north hallway for the entire month of October! 
2. Winter uniforms begin on Monday, October 28. Everyone should be in their appropriate grade color sweater. Boys don’t forget ties, belts and blue or black socks. Girls must be in navy tights. If you are not sure what the appropriate items are to wear please look at the handbook, specifically pages 23 and 24! 
3. The deadline to sign up for the Washington DC Trip is Monday, October 28th. There are still spots available. If we don't fill a bus, the trip will be cancelled. Come see Ms. DeLapi in Room 105 to sign up or take information.

Projects include Saturdays at the North Babylon Food Pantry or Pantry Garden, Wednesday evenings at Emma's Table, serving meals to the lonely, disabled or homeless. Ms. Fatuzzo also has contacts for Challenger Athletics in Bay Shore to be a peer coach for a special needs child or adult and Save the Great South Bay Foundation to work on environmental projects along the south shore of Long Island. Stop in the STARS office at lunch or after school or email Ms. Fatuzzo for info.
